This committee is concerned with identifying and promoting use of cost-effective treatments to extend the life of existing pavements through research, education activities, and discussions among practitioners, researchers and industry representatives. The committee identifies, promotes and supports research that quantifies the impact of preservation activities, identifies their optimal pavement condition and application timing, quantifies performance outcomes, and quantifies and documents the benefits of pavement preservation to the transportation roadway infrastructure.
