This session will contain two parts. Part 1 will focus on the past; specifically, how equity in transportation been defined and how policy has addressed equity in transportation since the modern Civil Rights Movement. Part 2 will focus on the future, examining how practitioners can identify equity issues that result from technological change, use policies to advance equity principles, and apply new public involvement techniques and equity performance measures. 

This session will have two moderators and six panelists, three of which will focus on Part 1 (Looking Back) and three focusing on Part 2 (Planning Ahead).
