Standing Committee on Disaster Response, Emergency Evacuations, and Business Continuity (AMR20)

The objective of this session is to learn and share resiliency skills involving multiple disasters, multiple disciplines and multiple collaborations. Bring your lessons learned, effective practices and questions to the session. The situation: An International Public Health Emergency has occurred, requiring residents to shelter in place for an extended period of time and disrupting production and supply chains. While navigating this unique event, additional unique and abrupt disruptions occur that affect specific regions. The participants will need to navigate the multiple events, ascertain how to respond, recover, and mitigate each disaster. Logistics, potential evacuations, and other key decisions will need to be made. Teams will plan, decide, and respond to increased size, frequency, and complexity of conflicting orders to shelter in place or evacuate, compliance, congestion, and supply chain disruptions.
