Standing Committee on Environmental Issues in Transportation Law (Changed to AJL50 on 4/15/2020) (AL050)

The so-called “three R’s,” or “three revolutions,” in transportation are quickly gaining momentum.  Advances in electrification, automation, and shared mobility are changing how vehicles are made and used.  These advances in technology and consumer behavior will also have tremendous impacts on planning, land use, and environmental law and regulation.  How can the legal community work together with engineers, urban planners, and governmental entities to prepare for implementation of these revolutions?  What legal constructs must be anticipated to change or improve to assist with the advancement of these transformations?
