Building Better Chip Seals

This workshop covers basic components of construction of chip seals, their use throughout the United States, and the issues affecting their performance. New research findings on chip seal design, specifications, construction practices, and quality assurance and acceptance methodologies will be presented. With the goal of encouraging the transfer of research results into practice, the workshop will conclude with two agency presentations on implementing some of the new approaches.
