Though work is still under way to finalize the rules initiated by MAP-21 and the FAST Act, some state DOTs and transit agencies have begun work to implement improved approaches to asset management.  This session provides transportation agencies implementing the asset management requirements of MAP-21 and FAST the opportunity to share their implementation experience, discuss the challenges they have encountered, and identify opportunities for leveraging efforts to comply with the federal requirements to improve agency processes and outcomes.
